MY FRIEND ?

My friend , I stand in the judgment now and feel that you're to blame somehow-On earth,I walked with you day by day and never did you point the way. You knew the Lord in Truth and Glory,but never did you tell the story.My knowledge then was very dim ; you could have led me safe to Him. Though we lived together on the earth,you never told me of the second birth,and now I stand this day condemned,because you failed to mention Him. You taught me many things , that's true ; I called you " friend " and trusted you ; But I learn now that it's to late , you could have kept me from this fate. We walked by day and talked by night ,and yet you showed me not the light. You let me live and love and die,and knew I'd never live on high. Yes I called you " friend " in life ,and trusted you through joy and strife, And yet on coming to the end, I cannot now call you " My Friend ."         -Author Unknown

STRAIGHT AHEAD

Million's cry out to God in pain ,and distress ,thinking heaven is silent
But the Lord is not deaf
It is He who fashioned your heart individually
Answering prayer's one by one,each to one's own need
Jesus walked on water ,then to Calvary
On that rocky path to show you and meTurn not right nor left ,but focus straight ahead
Jesus made it to the end !
I follow my savior's lead , step out the the boat Jesus hold me !
The rocky path ,I stumble at times , but a righteous saint ,shakes off the dust then get's up
My sin is nailed to the cross ,inactive it be
There is only one Calvary
My eye's close in death then
Open and see , Jesus arm's wide open

STANDING IN A ROOM STARING AT THE SMALL T.V. WITH BIBLE SITTING ON TOP
SILENCE , TENSION , DEATH IN THE AIR .
I KNEW WHAT TO DO BEFORE , BUT NOW , I'M NUMB ,SUSPENDED THOUGHT.
THEN I HEARD A VOICE SAY
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ? THEN EVERYTHING I'VE DONE WAS FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES
NOTHING BUT EMPTINESS WAS MY LIFE
NOW MY EYES WERE OPEN THIS I NEVER SEEN
BUT HE WHO SPOKE THE UNIVERSE INTO EXISTENCE REVEALED TO ME DILAPIDATION ALREADY SET IN
WHERE ARE YOU GOING ,HE ASKED GENTLY
I SAID LORD I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT SO FAR FROM THEE !
BUT PLEASE IF YOU CAN RESCUE ME
WITH THAT SAID THERE'S A KNOCK AT THE DOOR
I LOOK THOUGH THE SHADES AND WHAT DO I SEE
THE POLICE HAVE COME TO ARREST ME !
6 MONTHS LATER NOW I CAN SEE
THE POISON OF ALCOHOL HAS LEFT ME
BEING WITHOUT A DRINK ALL THESE MONTHS , THE GRACE OF GOD NEVER LEFT MY BUNK.
NOW RELEASED I ENROLL IN BIBLE SCHOOL TO KNOW WHY I BELIEVE
A NEW LIFE WITH CHRIST IN ME .

Whether a vision or dream i know not
The voice bids me to come

The billowy sea is rushing toward me

As my feet touched the water I get a chill

I then look away
