STANDING IN A ROOM STARING AT THE SMALL T.V. WITH BIBLE SITTING ON TOP
SILENCE , TENSION , DEATH IN THE AIR .
I KNEW WHAT TO DO BEFORE , BUT NOW , I'M NUMB ,SUSPENDED THOUGHT.
THEN I HEARD A VOICE SAY
WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN ? THEN EVERYTHING I'VE DONE WAS FLASHED BEFORE MY EYES
NOTHING BUT EMPTINESS WAS MY LIFE
NOW MY EYES WERE OPEN THIS I NEVER SEEN
BUT HE WHO SPOKE THE UNIVERSE INTO EXISTENCE REVEALED TO ME DILAPIDATION ALREADY SET IN
WHERE ARE YOU GOING ,HE ASKED GENTLY
I SAID LORD I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT SO FAR FROM THEE !
BUT PLEASE IF YOU CAN RESCUE ME
WITH THAT SAID THERE'S A KNOCK AT THE DOOR
I LOOK THOUGH THE SHADES AND WHAT DO I SEE
THE POLICE HAVE COME TO ARREST ME !
6 MONTHS LATER NOW I CAN SEE
THE POISON OF ALCOHOL HAS LEFT ME
BEING WITHOUT A DRINK ALL THESE MONTHS , THE GRACE OF GOD NEVER LEFT MY BUNK.
NOW RELEASED I ENROLL IN BIBLE SCHOOL TO KNOW WHY I BELIEVE
A NEW LIFE WITH CHRIST IN ME .

RESCUED

Whether a vision or dream i know not
The voice bids me to come
through the action of the wind
The billowy sea is rushing toward me
Follow me said He
As my feet touched the water I get a chill
Oh what a thrill
I then look away
I'm sinking almost under
I'm going down
Little strength to hold on
A hand reaches out
Rescues me
Oh ye of little faith
Why did you look away ?
Compassion in His eyes
Jesus said your mine
Never to be snatched out of my hand
Arise my little lamb.

A BIRD ALONE WATCHING

Waiting for Mom & Dad to come home
While I'm in the house alone
Yearning to hear their voices say'' were home ''
Knowing they will never arrive
Alone for the moment
In silence
Listening to the ringing in my ears
Time has stood still
So I think ?
Trusting in Him who said
I'll return with those who sleep
To reunite that your loneliness will cease.

MAN

Fearful frightened little man ,
Why do you shift on the sand ,
Is not Christ your rock ?
On Him you should stand !
Though the storms come and go ...
At the end you'll be purified as gold .

WORLD

Bye bye world today is gone forever past
Into eternity light , why oh why is the sky not blue ?
Cloud's on the horizon , rain on the way,
A bird fluttering in the bush , the cat takes
it away.
Who on Earth knows the whys ?
No one , but He who made the sky !


WHY LORD ?

Why Lord do bad thing's happen to me ?
No new car or new clothes , blood pressure high , who could go on .
I'm in debt don't know what to do !
The Lord answered and said :
It's no secret , I said the storm's would come ,
Your foundation , is it on rock or sand ?
I'll uplift you by my righteous right hand !
You've seen Actor's getting a statue on that Oscar night ,
that collects dust on a dresser , then chips away .
Your treasure is in Heaven where dust , moth , nor decay will touch !
It's almost over the end is near .
The curtain will be drawn , the lights turned off .
But my beloved you'll be with Me , so comfort
with these word's of mine .
When it is over you'll be held on high !

THINK
Off to Hell I go , now I'm all alone .
Laughed at the man with the Bible in his hand !
My friend's aren't here to party , only darkness
and shame .
Why didn't I listen ? I'm the only face I see .
Now I sit and , think , think ,think , have all eternity ,
don't know what that means ?
Upland Mountains I see no more .
The girl that I left all alone , crying on her pillow,
brought me delight .
Now there's no light !
Until I'm Resurrected on Judgement day .
Only thing I can do is think , think , think ....

LOST IN THOUGHT

Scuffling through fallen leaves , the Forest does gleam .
A deer is panting by the brook , translucent in the
morning dew .
Then a tap on the shoulder the Teacher and classmates look on .
With saliva running down my chin , embarrassed never to return again !
Back in the forest once again , really haven't learned
much out here !
I wish I had something to eat , boy what a dunce .
When you see someone sleeping let them be !
So they may dream on , and not be hungry like me .

Love me not for comely grace ,
For my pleasing eye on face ,
Nor for any outward part :
No , nor for a constant heart !
For these may fail or turn to Ill :
So thou and I shall sever .
Keep therefore a true woman's eye ,
And love me still , but know not why !
So hast thou the same reason still
to doat upon me ever .

A man of words and not of deeds
Is like a garden full of weeds ;
